A DIY Guide To Deep Bathroom Cleaning

Bathrooms are the most important room in your house that requires regular deep cleaning. A once-a-month deep cleaning in your bathroom is a good idea to keep it clean and shining. Bathrooms are one of the most dangerous places in your home where bacteria can grow and can cause illness. It needs to be cleaned out regularly.

Although cleaning your floors and counters is a great weekly chore, it is important to do more in your bathroom. Without a thorough cleaning regimen, your bathroom can become a breeding ground for mould and bacteria due to its high humidity.

While you can do your weekly cleanings with minimal effort, your monthly cleanings will take a little more time. 

Declutter

Bathrooms are a highly-used space that can easily become cluttered. Your bathroom can quickly become cluttered with cosmetics, shaving tools, and towels. If you have to manoeuvre around lots of things, it is difficult to do a deep clean. The first thing you need to do is clean your bathroom. Clean off your counters and grab all towels and the bathroom mat. 

Vacuum

The bathroom is the best place to collect hair. No matter how long or short your hair is, the bathroom floor can look like a barbershop after years of hairstyling and showering. It's a good idea for you to use a vacuum cleaner to clean your floors. Your vacuum hose can be used to reach tight places and collect small pieces of dirt and hair.

Wipe down

Now it's time for you to grab your disinfecting solution. After your surfaces have cleared, you can scrub them. You should wipe down countertops, taps, and sinks as well as the tub, bathtub, shower doors, mirrors, and walls. It is a good idea to wipe down any surface in your bathroom that is frequently touched. This includes drawer handles, light switches, door handles, and vanity doors.

Shower

While you may be able to get clean in the tub, your bathing routine can leave behind a lot of residues. It can be difficult to get soap residue off of your shower. Use a mildly abrasive cleaner to clean your shower stall walls and tub.
